CoNE invite applications for Media Fellowship

Community Network for Empowerment (CoNE) has invited media professionals of the State to participate the media fellowship programme that aims to strengthen media advocacy on several issues of viral hepatitis through a human rights lens.
A statement of CoNE president Nalinikanta Rajkumar conveyed that the fellowship aims to create mass awareness among the general public on issues surrounding hepatitis by creating opportunities for the journalist to research and report stories about the scenario of viral hepatitis in the State with special focus on hepatitis C.During the fellowship which will begin from March 2019 and continue to December 2019, the journalists will have to produce news article, feature or audio-video contents/documentary that highlights the issues surrounding hepatitis, it said.
A monthly stipends of Rs 6,000 will be given to a selected journalists after their articles are published in the dailies/media outlets.
The application forms should be submitted to the president of CoNE, Palace Compound on or before March, 15.Applicants should submit an expression of interest with documents- Cover letter, Curriculum vitae, two work sample on health issues, a letter of endorsement from media organisation or a letter of endorsement from an Editor for freelance journalist and letter from Editor assuring new stories will be published/broadcasted, it added.
