Ex-MLA Henry Paotei joins NPF

In a major political development, at least in the hill districts of Manipur, veteran Naga politician and Political Affairs Committee member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh, PS Henry Paotei, has resigned from his party along with supporters in tow to join the mint fresh Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur.
Henry Paotei, a former MLA of Karong Assembly Constituency (ST), stated this in a press communiqu� that he and his supporters desire to work with NPF Manipur unit because of its commitment to the principle "fede non armis" (by faith not by arms) .
The statement informed that he has tendered a resignation letter to the State and national leaders of BJP on June 23, 2011, but fell short of confirming if the same has been accepted by the party.
The statement, however did not name any of his supporters any more than saying that "Mr PS Henry Paotei has resigned with all his supporters from the BJP en bloc" to join NPF.
Paotei, also a co-convener of Naga Parliamentarians' Forum, Manipur, said that he and his (and his supporters) decided to join the NPF Manipur which, as he says, is committed to the principle, "fede non armis" (by faith not by arms) which is the need of the hour to bring about justice, peace, brotherhood and development in the State of Manipur.
