Lamka, November 18 2009:
The Kuki National Front (MC) today clarified that they are not involved in the attack on an IRB post in Cachar hills as was alleged by the HPC (D) in a local vernacular daily.
A statement of the outfit signed by Th Rio Kuki said the KNO/KNF (MC) had been avoiding any kind of encounter or attack on security personnel ever since they entered into a cease-fire agreement with both the centre and state government.
KNO/KNF (MC) do not know who Lulun Kuki is, Rio maintained and demanded that HPC (D) immediately withdraw the allegation they made against KNF (MC) through the media.
The statement further alleged that the HPC (D) and UTLA were behind the attack at the Cachar outpost of the IRB.
'Therefore we were not aware of any of their activities,' it alleged.
Warning the HPC (D) against repeating their act of maligning other outfit, the KNF (MC) statement said it strongly condemned the conduct of the HPC (D) and UTLA in attacking the IRB outpost.
