National integration tour held

A thirteen day long National Integration Tour organised by 26 Assam Rifles of 27 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) from Thinghat Dist-Churchandpur to Delhi and Dehradun was flagged in by IG AR (South).
Fifteen boys and two teachers hailing from the civil society and remote villages of Singhat Sub Division, Churchandpur District attended the tour from Manipur to Delhi and IMA Dehradun as a part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.
According to a statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (S), the aim of the tour was to educate the children belonging to the far flung and remote villages of Churchandpur district on national development.
This was a unique opportunity for these children to witness the development taking place in various parts of the country and to explore the diverse cultural heritage of India.
The tour provided an opportunity for the students to visit cultural landmarks like India Gate, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Delhi Planetorium, Lotus Temple, IMA Dehradun, Mussoorie Town Kempty Falls, Mussoorie Lake, Mussoorie Christ Church, Gun Hill, Mossy Fall, Lake Mist, Jaripani Fall and Shastra Dhara in Mussoorie.
