226 fresh cases detected...With late report of 130 from Imphal West

Imphal, September 14 2020:
Two hundred and twenty six persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours including a security personnel of Chief Minister N Biren.
Of the total two hundred and twenty six positive cases, reports of 130 cases came late in the evening today.
All the 130 positive cases are from Imphal West.
According to the late report, the 130 cases fresh cases include 29 residents of Sagoltongba Mayai Leikai, nine of Wangoi Longjam Leikai and five of Khoyathong Polem Leikai.

Further, two persons were found positive after rapid antigen test at Thoubal.
Earlier, against 149 COVID-19 patients discharged during the last 24 hours, 96 people including 18 personnel of CAPF were found infected by the virus during the same period.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 149 people were discharged from JNIMS (6), CCC UNACCO (49), CCC Lamding-Thoubal (7), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (50), CCC Thoubal (21) and CAPF (16) during the last 24 hours as they were found free of COVID-19 .
So far, 6340 COVID-19 patients (general population 4815, Central security personnel 1525) have been discharged putting the recovery rate at 79.53 per cent.
On the other hand, 96 people including 18 personnel of CAPF were tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours at RIMS, JNIMS, Chandel, Ukhrul, Imphal East, Little Clinic, Imphal West, Noney, Raj Medicity, Thoubal, Chura-chandpur, Kangpokpi, Bish- nupur, Jiribam, Babina Diagnostics, Tamenglong and Samaritan Hospital.
The 78 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (146), Imphal East (17), Thoubal (20), Churachandpur (10), Kangpokpi (1), Bishnupur (1), Noney (3), Chandel (5), Ukhrul (2), Jiribam (1) and Tamenglong (2) .
Out of them, 66 have no significant history of travelling outside the State.
The cumulative positive cases is 8101 (general population 6271, Central security personnel 1830) and it includes 1715 active cases (general population 1413, Central security personnel 302) .
If any one has got into contact with a COVID-19 positive person, he/she should stay away from other people and contact the COVID-19 Control Room or the CMO concerned, Dr Sasheekumar further informed.
