24 MLAs resolve to protect State's integrity

Imphal, June 09 2023: Altogether 24 MLAs/Ministers of the ruling parties including Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata held a meeting today and resolved to protect the integrity of Manipur and the sanctity of its territorial boundary.

As many as 24 MLAs including seven Ministers held a marathon meeting in the Manipur Legislative Assembly since yesterday and deliberated on the prevailing situation of Manipur.

Taking serious note of the violent crisis which erupted on May 3, the meeting also deliberated on how to end the violence and bring peace and normalcy in the State.

The two-day meeting was participated by Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata, Ministers Thongam Biswajit, Konthoujam Govindas, Yumnam Khemchand, Dr Sapam Ranjan, Heikham Dingo, Leishangthem Susindro (Yaima), Thounaojam Basantakumar, MLAs Lourembam Rameshwor, Kongkham Robindro, Tongbram Robindro, Sapam Nishikanta, Thangjam Arunkumar, Khumukcham Joykisan, Salam Rajen, Dr Yumnam Radheshyam, Sapam Kunjakishore (Keba), Paonam Brojen, Khongbantabam Ibomcha, Irengbam Nalini, Soraisam Kebi, Thongam Shanti, Mayanglambam Rameshwar and Karam Shyam.

The meeting is likely to continue tomorrow too and the MLAs/Ministers of the ruling parties may adopt a concrete position, sources informed.
