Mannasha Sapam crowned Miss Manipur-2022

Imphal, September 12 2022: Mannasha Devi Sapam has been adjudged winner of the 5th Miss Manipur-2022 title held on Sunday at Trade and Expo Centre, Lamboi Khongnangkhong.

Kongsangthei P Hurray of Kachai village in Ukhrul district and Philayung Jajo of Apong village in Kamjong district, were adjudged the first and second runner-up, respectively.

Miss Manipur winner Mannasha will represent the state at the Miss North East, 2022 to be held in Nagaland.

The winner, first runner up and second runner-up were awarded Rs 1 lakh, Rs 80,000 and Rs 60,000 respectively along with memento and gift hamper.

Apart from the three titles, the pageant also featured 13 subtitles.

Sicilly Jajo bagged miss congeniality title; Leichiklen Loukrakpam photogenic; Sarangthem Nirupama best model; Philayung Jajo perfect 10; Mannasha Devi Sapam beautiful skin; Heikrujam Portia beautiful hair; Nanglaldiu Inkah catwalk; Leichombam Apana talented; Wonshim Phatangva Shimrah elegance; Pallavi Laurembam discipline; Vahhoichong Haokip beautiful smile; and Kongsangthei P Huray queen of the night by TNO; while Celena Ningthoukhongjam's designer Arbin Tonjam won the best designer title of the contest participated by 24 contestants.

The contest held with DM College of Teacher Education assistant professor Konika Khuraijam, designer Robert Naorem, Sucheta Arambam and Richana Khumanthem as the members of the jury while social welfare minister Heikham Dingo and DGP P Doungel were the special guests.

It may be mentioned that Halley Laithangbam and Sonia Phairembam floated Miss Manipur Organisation in 2016 and organised the beauty pageant in the state with an objective to show case the talents of the youth.

The 5th edition of Miss Manipur 2022 pageant was held under the theme 'Where Extraordinary is Created'.

The beauty pageant was organised under the supervision of state-level Miss Manipur Committee.

Prior to the mega event, all the contestants underwent intensive today training on personal grooming, etiquette, ramp walk and more.
