State logs five new Covid cases

Imphal, September 12 2022:
The state on Monday reported five new cases of Covid from two districts out of 269 samples tested in the last 24 hours, and registered test positivity rate of 1.9 per cent.
Out of the five fresh cases, one is a CAPF jawan posted in Imphal West district while the remaining four cases (1 male & 3 females) are residents of Imphal West (3) and Imphal East (1) districts.
Monday reported only two recoveries following which, the number of active cases rose to 23 out of which 12 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Monday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,764 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
There are 37 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 118 D-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 523 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,37,217, out of which 13,13,693 had received the second dose and 2,54,142 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49804), Imphal East (32025), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11279), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2546), Ukhrul (3364), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
