Security meet held with local bodies

Noney, September 12 2022:
As a part of its continuous efforts to ensure that Assam Rifles works in close synergy with local residents to promote peace, harmony and stability in the area, Noney Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) organised a security meet at Veitumkhullen adjacent to COB Kotlen in Kangpokpi district on Monday.
The meet was attended by village chiefs, authorities, presidents of youth clubs, officer in-charge of camps of Central Armed jPpliqe Forces deployed in the area, head representatives of construction companies, civil society organisations, representatives of Kuki Inpi and student organisations.
The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the bond between security forces deployed in the area, develop sense of safety and security among local villagers through direct dialogue, discuss security issues and understand basic demands, concerns and requirements of common people of area through their representatives.
Roles of villagers and authorities for improvement and advancement of society as a whole were also discussed.
