Imphal, February 20 2024:
Ningthoujam Langlen scored an unbeaten ton while Thokchom Alish and Moirangthem Creety hit half centuries to guide AKSDO to a huge 322 run victory over MPA today in the 1st MNCA U-15 Women's Cricket Tournament at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.
AKSDO opted to bat first and racked up 439/3 courtesy Langlen's 103-ball 144 (25 fours and 2 sixes) before bowling out MPA for 117 runs in 28 overs to seal their third straight victory.
The result also lifted them on top of the table.
After Bijiya's early dismissal by Y Echapamu, Ningthoujam Langlen capitalised on reckless MPA bowlers to stitch together a 219 run partnership for the second wicket with Alish who was dismissed just 7 runs away from completing her century in the second delivery of the 14th overs.
Langlen and Alish had taken AKSDO to 200 run mark in 12.2 overs courtesy 57 extras.
Langlen then gathered 136 runs with Khundrakpam Rabina who was bowled out for 24 runs for the third wicket by Chongtham Rushita in the 24th over after having lifted AKSDO to 300 in 19.3 overs.
Langlen then found an able partnership in Creety Moirangthem (33-ball 63) and forged an unbeaten 84 run partnership for the fourth wicket to end the innings at 439/3 and finish with a masterful knock of 144 runs.
With a mountain to climb, MPA had a stuttering start and slumped to 117 all out in 28 overs with Rabina Khundrakpam (3/2 in 4 overs), Laishram Linthoi (2/9 in 3 overs) and Bijiya Khundrakpam (2/20 in 5 overs) gradually setting up the collapse.
N Langlen who starred with her bat was adjudged player of the match.
