3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : AKSDO, KSDO inch closer to knock-out stage with fifth straight victories

AKSDO, Khangabok and KSDO, Kyamgei inched closer to the quarter finals of the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament by registering their fifth wins today.
AKSDO pulled off their fifth Group A victory by beating AMCA, Thoubal by 29 runs at THAU ground courtesy off a concerted bowling effort.
AKSDO, after electing to bat first, were bundled out for 136 runs in 25.1 overs as AMCA bowling department led by Mustakin (4/26 in 5.1 overs) and Yakil (2/24 in 6 overs) did a fine job.
The total however proved too big as Chingamba Elangbam (4/15 in 5 overs), Saikhom Dinesh (2/12 in 6 overs), Md Ushmal Ali (2/26 in 3.2 overs) and Bidyasagar Khundrakpam (2/23 in 5 overs) shared ten wickets to bowl out AMCA for 107 runs in 27.2 overs.
For AKSDO, Borish Khundrakpam 20, Bidyananda Ningthoujam 15 and Saikhom Dinesh 14 were the main run getters while Anish 22 and Yakil 19 led the AMCA charge.
Chingamba of AKSDO was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile, KSDO sealed a commanding 85-run victory over ESU, Wangkhei for their fifth Group C victory courtesy Kh Firdos' all round performance at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
Kh Firdos scored 84 off 86 balls and Md Abu Sufiyan added 49 off 43 balls to guide KSDO to 178/7 after they elected to bat first.
KSDO then rode on Md Shadik Israak Hussain's fifer (5/18 in 6 overs) and Kh Firdos (2/18 in 4 overs) to bundle out ESU for 93 runs in 16.4 overs.
Elsewhere at PTRC Ground, YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel beat LCC, Lamshang by 7 wickets for second Group D win in 5 matches while BKCC, Bamon Kampu sealed their first Group A win by beating LOTUS, Hiyanglam by 17 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
