Veteran and U-9 Promotional Badminton Championships : K Jenus, Kh Thoihenba win 35+ men's, U-9 boys' singles titles

K Jenus of Imphal West clinched the above 35 men's singles title in the 66th State Master Veteran and U-9 Promotional Badminton Championships organised by the Manipur Badminton Association at DMU Campus badminton hall.
K Jenus beat L Dinesh of Kakching 22-20, 22-20 in a keenly contested final match to seal the 35+ men's singles title after Kh Thoihenba defeated Riyosnganba Soubam 21-12, 21-16 for the U-9 boys title in an all-Thoubal final clash and Chingkheinganbi Seram of Imphal East clinched the U-9 girls singles crown by beating Kakching's Rashithoi N 14-21, 21-11, 21-14 in the final.

Ksh Devjit of was crowned above 40 years men's singles winner with a 21-17, 22-20 win over L Ramesh in an all-Imphal West final match after L Krishnakumar of MPSC sealed the above 45 men's singles title beating N Sanayaima of KDBA 21-5, 21-10; W Amusana of Imphal East beat H Inaocha of BDBA 21-17, 21-15 for the above 50 men's singles title; Heny Luny of Senapati district secured the above 55 men's singles title beating Ch Kamini of Imphal West 21-18, 21-14; Yumkhaibam Samarendra of Imphal West sealed the above 60 years men's title with a 21-17, 12-21, 21-11 (retd) win over I Shantikumar and Arambam Sunitikumar clinched the above 65 men's singles title with a 21-17, 21-9 win over S Jatra in an all-Imphal West final.
MPSC-IW pair, H Kishan and K Ravi Shanker, in the meantime sealed the above 35 men's doubles crown with a 21-12, 21-6 win over K Jenus and L Dinesh later in the day as Imphal West's duo, Ak Pradip Kumar and L Ramesh win the above 40 doubles title with a 21-18, 17-21, 21-13 win over Imphal West pair of S Ronald and S Shyamananda.
Imphal West's pair of O Basanta- S Ghanendra; Imphal East's pair of W Amusana and Y Bale; Imphal West's pair of RK Robinsana and T Brojen; IW-IE pair of I Shantikumar and Nimai Toijam and Imphal West's pair of Arambam Sunitikumar and H Parun also emerged doubles winners for above 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 categories.
