32 more Omicron cases detected

Imphal, January 17 2022: Manipur today reported 32 more cases of the Omicron variant to take the total number of such cases to 39 till date.

The first Omicron case in Manipur was detected on December 27 last year and detection of another six Omicron cases was made public on January 14 .

All the 7 persons who earlier tested positive for the Omicron variant have been discharged.

The detection of the 32 new Omicron cases was made known by the Director of Health Services today in a statement.

Except for announcing the detection of the 32 new Omicron cases, no information is available on whether anyone of them had returned recently from outside the State or country.
