Three involved in forced elopement jailed

Imphal, January 17 2022:
The court of CJM, Imphal West on Monday sent three people, who were involved in forced elopement of a girl, to judicial remand for 15 days.
The three people are RK Master (34) of Mayang Imphal Konchak, who is the prime accused, and Amom Soman (40) and Ningthemcha ningol Landhoni, who aided the forced elopement.
Following the completion of police remand period, a team of Singjamei police produced the three accused before the CJM on Monday.
After perusing the report of the IO, the court ordered remand of all three to judicial custody for 15 days.
Mention may be made here that Singjamei PS took up the case after the victim registered a complaint.
Upon finding their names being mentioned in the complaint, the three accused pleaded for anticipatory bails.
But the district and sessions judge, Imphal West rejected their pleas.
The three were then arrested on January 12 and remanded to police custody for 5 days for interrogation.
