Imphal, October 30 2026:
The women's wing of the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has appealed to all indigenous people of Manipur to take part in the mega rally scheduled for tomorrow against the alleged proxy war of the Government of India, thinking of it as their bounden duty.
Speaking to the media at Lamphel today, COCOMI women's wing convenor Wahengbam Luwangleima said that the rally is being organised by COCOMI, Joint Tribe Council, Foothills Naga Co-ordination Committee, Naga People's Union and Naga Humanitarian Aid Committee Manipur.
She said that the rally will commence from Tiddim Ground, Kwakeithel, and conclude at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.

Luwangleima claimed that the Government of India has been waging a war against the indigenous people of Manipur by using Kuki narco-terrorists as a proxy force.
She appealed to all indigenous people, including Government employees and staff of private institutions, to participate in the rally, even if their areas were not covered during the mobilisation campaign, as their bounden duty to secure their future.
Endorsing the COCOMI's mega rally, the Sagolband Apunba Lup (SALUP) has appealed to members of clubs and Meira Paibi groups based in Sagolband to participate in the rally.
In a statement, SALUP claimed that Kuki narco-terrorists have been waging a violent war to disintegrate the State, while the Government has been treating the hill and valley districts differently.
It further claimed that Kuki armed groups which signed the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement have been acting with impunity in the hill districts and engaging in unlawful activities along the highways.
Even as the Government claims that peace is returning to Manipur, killings and other acts of violence continue unabated in the State, it alleged.
Taking all these factors into account, SALUP endorsed the COCOMI's rally.
