Imphal, October 29 2026: Nongmeikapam Bimota, secretary of the women's wing of United Pukhao, Makeng Dolaithabi Gram Panchayat, has refuted the report that 33 Assam Rifles and Khabeisoi Special Commando seized arms and ammunition from Pukhao Terapur.

Speaking to the media, Bimota said that some security personnel visited Pukhao Terapur yesterday, proceeded towards the foothill areas and returned without conducting any operation.

She said that Pukhao Terapur is situated close to Kuki villages and that residents have been unable to visit their paddy fields or forests to collect firewood due to the prevailing situation.

The claim that arms and ammunition were seized from Pukhao Terapur has projected the villagers in a negative light, she said, urging all concerned to clarify the matter.
