MMWO decries

The Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has claimed that three Meitei Pangals were robbed of Rs 11 lakh by unknown miscreants near Thinungei Oil Pump last night at around 7.30 and they also took the KIA car which the three persons brought.
According to a statement of MMWO, the three persons have been identified as Khulakpam MV Abdul Satar, s/o Md Abdul Manan of Kwakta Municipal Council Ward no, Kh Amir Khan, s/o Md Indeen of Kwakta Gram Panchayat Ward no 2 and Dolaipabam Sakir Ahmed, s/o Basir Ahmed of Kwakta Municipal Council Ward no 2 .
Saying that the three persons were released at Laphupat Tera at around 10.30 am today after beating them black and blue, MMWO condemned the incident.
The three persons are now undergoing treatment at JR Hospital at Hatta, MMWO conveyed and added that assaulting civilians has become a common phenomenon in Manipur.
Urging the people or an organisation behind the assault to clarify their motive at the earliest, MMWO also appealed to the Government to take up immediate measures and probe the incident.
