Imphal, July 28 2010:
United Committee Manipur is all set to observe 13th Manipur Integrity Day on July 4. In a pamphlet release by Publicity Department, AMUCO informed that 13th Manipur Integrity Day will be held at 5 different places of Manipur.
It mentioned that the function will be held at Thao Ground, Imphal, Yairipok Singa, Thoubal District, Moirang Bishenpur District, Jiribam Imphal East, and Moreh, Chandel.
AMCO has appealed to public to join the functions and also to extend possible help for the functions.
The pamphlet stated that on August 4, 1997 people of Manipur took out a public rally to send out a strong message to Government of India that Manipur people will not welcome divide and rule policy among the hill and plain people in the state, the rally pressed upon the Government of India not to create any divisive wedge between the hill and plain people of the state, the pamphlet mentioned that the rally was joined by lakhs of people.
Thirteen years has lapsed, the territorial integrity is intact however emotional integrity of the people has been still under attack with persistent attempt of Government of India.
The main roles to create division in emotional integrity are played by NSCN (IM) and Government of India, it is not people of Manipur, the pamphlet said.
The pamphlet reminded that AMUCO has been striving for protecting the emotional integrity among the hill and plain people and AMUCO will continue for the cause, the pamphlet asserted mentioned.
AMUCO assume misconception among different communities is common phenomena, and it is pertinent responsibility of each community to work for preserving their own identity, language, culture, tradition and religion, AMUCO also support the principle.
However AMUCO opposes any attempt to transverse in other territory while protecting one's own identity, as AMUCO has been relentlessly facing forces of attempt to generate ethnic enmity, as this are designed by Delhi government, AMUCO said.
The pamphlet also alleged that Government of Delhi is highly biased towards a faction of NSCN with an eye to confine Naga insurgent movement and to suppress other Naga insurgent groups, the so call NSCN fraction has been prompted to indulge in communal clashes with other communities of north eastern region, the pamphlet reminded that if the Naga insurgents were fighting only for autonomy, they would have stopped fighting when Nagaland attained statehood in 1963 .
The government of India if sincere to find an honourable solution in the political crisis in the region, they must have initiated composite dialogue and people to people dialogue for early reconciliation instead of piecemeal dialogue, the piece meal dialogue could be considered as an attempt to weaken other insurgent groups by extending strongest support to one Naga fraction of insurgent.
The pamphlet also mentioned that the recent round of talk between NSCN (IM) and Government of India at Kohima was first talk held at Nagaland on June 1 last between the two was 68th round of talk which still sincerity was eluding, the pamphlet added.
There will be no sincere conclusion of the talk as government of India wants to keep existing chaos in the region alive, the pamphlet mentioned.
