Imphal, July 28 2010:
After the bomb attack on a pharmacy inside RIMS campus on July 26 in which the attacker was subsequently rounded up and beaten up black and blue before handing him over to the police, all the drug stores located inside RIMS campus have been forced to shut down following threats through sms.
The sms was reportedly sent through the mobile phone of a pharmacy in the afternoon today.
It may be recalled here that suspected PREPAK cadres lobbed a hand grenade inside the VSA Pharmacy located near Casualty Ward of RIMS on July 26 afternoon.
After a hot pursuit, one of the attackers was overpowered by the people and after a good thrashing handed him over to the custody of police.
In protest against the bomb attack, all the pharmacies inside RIMS campus downed their shutters and staged a protest demonstration yesterday.
This morning, the drugstores were resuming normal service when the sms was received threatening against opening of the drug stores.
