Cases of abduction are reported increasing in Manipur.
In the last 48 hours there have been four cases of kidnapping in the state by militants.
Meanwhile, a massive search operation was conducted at Lalambung area in Imphal West district today in connection with the abduction of S.Somikanta Singh who is a superintendent of engineer in the Public Health department, government of Manipur.
The engineer was reportedly kidnapped by some gunmen from Saigaiprou area on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Naga Peoples Organisation (NPO) has appealed the NSCN-K to release the two FCI officials who were reportedly abducted from Senapati two days ago.
The NPO, an apex body of Senapati district civil organisations said that whatever may be the case the two officals should be released without any harm.
NPO president M.Dili said that if there is any anguish with the FCI department by the group responsible for the anduction of the two officials, negotiation should be held with the concerned authority.
Pishak and Ibomcha of the FCI were abducted allegedly by the NSCN-K on Tuesday in connection with the alleged irregularity of the FCI functioning in Senapati district, according
