As a part of the ongoing anti-malaria campaign the 23 Assam Rifles of 10 sector distributed over 2500 chemically treated mosquito nets to villagers of Sagolmang, Isikha Khunou, Pukhao and Kheba apart from defogging activities carried out in these areas on September 1 and 2, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
The same AR unit in collaboration with an Agricultural NGO also distributed green chilly plants and sports items to villagers of Sagolmang, Isikha Khunou, Yumnam Khunou, Pukhao, Happy Valley and Uyumpok, the release added.
On the otherhand, 22 Grenadiers of 26 sector deployed at Moltuk distributed school uniforms to local children of Moltuk village which is under Khengjoi Block of Chandel district.
