Chirus bring message of love and co-existence to AMUCO

Bringing two communities closer than ever, people of Waithou Chiru village in Kangpokpi district visited Imphal bringing messages of love and relief materials for displaced Meitei folks.
Waithou Chiru Village chairman SR Thoirisong and member SD Senpu visited the office of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) and donated 5 bags of rice and Rs 15,000 .
During the visit, the Chiru leaders informed it about the relief activities and efforts they have taken up to bring peace in Manipur, said AMUCO in a statement.
The leaders of the Chiru village and members of AMUCO spoke on the present crisis and both expressed their desire to strengthen and foster the close relation as indigenous communities coexisting together.
Chiru is one of the small indigenous communities.
The Chiru along with other indigenous communities including Meiteis have been coexisting peacefully for ages, said AMUCO.
The present crisis has caused difficulties and inconvenienced all indigenous communities including Chiru, but the small community has reaffirmed and shown its dedication to foster peaceful coexistence of all and save Manipur, said AMUCO appreciating the Chiru leaders.
The All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) believes in coexistence, inclusive development and unity, it said, appealing to all indigenous communities to unite.
It appreciated Chiru Village chairman Thoirisong, member SD Senpu and the locals of the
village for their assistance.
