Imphal, December 19 2023:
Observing that the affiliation of 29 schools in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts to the CBSE is a big conspiracy and preplanned, Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) has demanded constitution of a high level inquiry committee and probe the matter.
In a release, MIYC coordinator T Parijat stated that the conspiracy of affiliating the schools to CBSE is done under the agenda of separate administration.
Many people must be involved in the conspiracy and there might be even more schools that are newly affiliated to CBSE, he continued.
The affiliation of schools to CBSE proved that the attacks on Meetei by Kuki and their separate administration demand were preplanned, he pointed out, while informing that many of the schools newly affiliated to CBSE are still under COHSEM and BOSEM.
Six schools are still affiliated to COHSEM and 14 under BOSEM.
All the by-laws for affiliation of schools under CBSE have been violated.
In addition to issuing NOC by state government during affiliation, there is a need for providing details of those students who appeared and passed examinations in the last three years along with affiliation number to CBSE.
Moreover, affiliation under two Boards is not allowed, the coordinator pointed out.
Out of the 29 schools newly affiliated to CBSE in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts, three in Kangpokpi and 11 in Churachandpur were affiliated to CBSE prior to the conflict, while five schools in Churachandpur and 10 schools in Kangpokpi were newly affiliated during the conflict.
Parijat further enquired how CBSE sent inspection team to schools and compiled reports, how the team checked the documents and sent reports to CBSE New Delhi.
Moreover, granting affiliation to the schools hastily by CBSE New Delhi amidst the violence is highly suspicious, he maintained and demanded enquiry regarding the affiliation issue and punishment of all those involved.
