Chiru villagers provide rice, cash to AMUCO

Along with highlighting the role of Waithou Chiru villagers amid the crisis situation and recalling the love and unity existing between the different communities in the state for ages, Waithou Chiru village chief visited the office of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) on Friday and handed over rice and monetary assistance.
In a release, AMUCO publicity secretary Laishram Krishnachandra said that among the communities settling in Manipur, Chiru has the least population but has been striving for peaceful coexistence since ages.
Being a minority community, it has been facing various hurdles and continues to endure even more amid the unrest situation gripping the state, the secretary noted.
Maintaining that bringing solution to the problems faced by minority communities would be relative easy in case all communities stand for upholding the emotional and territorial integrity of Manipur, the release stated that AMUCO believes in "Living together, developing together and facing odds together" .
AMUCO also expressed gratitude to Waithou Chiru village chief SR Thorishong and member Sd Senpu, who provided 5 bags of rice and Rs 15,000 to AMUCO on behalf of the Chiru villagers, to aid various activities of AMUCO.
