Thangmeiband bodies to skip Ningol Chakkouba

Imphal, October 08 2023: Thangmeiband United Club (TUC) organised a public meeting with local clubs and Meira Paibi of Thangmeiband area at Ima Khunthokhanbi Shanglen on Sunday and adopted several resolutions including not to celebrate Ningol Chakkouba in Thangmeiband this year.

In a release, TUC president Pratap Leishangthem informed that the meeting also adopted that the union after discussing with the people will participate in the movement/resolutions taken by prominent CSOs such as AMUCO, COCOMI, UCM, FOCs from time to time.

If any individual or clubs in Thangmeiband area want to organise activities in the interest of Manipur, TUC will extend all possible help, he informed.

Later in the evening, TUC and other organisations held candle light vigil at Ima Khunthokhanbi to pay tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for protection of Manipur.
