Nungba women trained on tailoring

Imphal, January 16 2024:
Assam Rifles organised a two-month tailoring course for women of Nungba in Noney district, which commenced from Monday, to aid the villagers sustain livelihood through self-employment.
Altogether 32 women of Nungba village enrolled for the course for which a professional instructor has been hired till the end of the course.
Assam Rifles would also be distributing sewing machines under Op Sadbhavana to the participants upon completion of the course, which will help the women of Nungba village in developing valuable sewing skills and aid create employment opportunities for them.
The village authority appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles and conveyed their gratitude for extending support to the villagers, informed a statement issued by PRO IGAR (East) .
