Rally demands tracing of missing students

Bishnupur, November 16 2023:
Bishnupur Youth Citizens' Forum organised a rally on Thursday demanding handing over of the missing students Mutum Avinash and Ningthoujam Anthony to their respective families, punishment of the culprits involved in their abduction and deployment of state forces 24 hours in adjoining areas of hill and valley districts.
The public rally which began from the Bishnupur forest office passed through Bishnupur Keithel and ended at Bishnupur DC Complex, where a memorandum was submitted to the Governor through Bishnupur DC Lourembam Bikrarp.
Speaking to media persons after submitting the memorandum, Forum founder Lourembam Kenedy Ningthouja informed that the memorandum demanded deployment of state forces in the adjoining areas of hill and valley districts, finding the missing students and handing them over to their respective families and stringiest punishment to all involved in abduction of the students.
Conveying that the DC assured of deploying state force in Bishnupur district so as to prevent unwanted incidents, he cautioned of launching several protests if the authorities fail to honour their demands.
