Monolith unveiled

To commemorate the occasion for implementing service pension schemes for the Autonomous District Council Employees of six hill districts of Manipur, a monolith was unveiled today at New ADC Administrative office complex, Ukhrul District Headquarters.
Care-taker chairman ADC, Ukhrul Mark Luithing unveiled the monolith in the presence of CEO David Kashungnao and other staff of the District Council.
Speaking at the occasion, Mark Luithing expressed special gratitude on behalf ADC, Ukhrul to the incumbent Government for implementing pension schemes to Autonomous District Council employees.
He went on to state that the staff of the Council must work sincerely and ensure to provide the best of their services to the people since the State Government is making all possible efforts to provide maximum benefits to the employees.
Meanwhile, Haowung Ronnui, chairman of 6 ADCs Pension Demand Committee, Manipur in his keynote address said that the employees of District Autonomous Council were working without service pension schemes.
However the then State Cabinet in its meeting held on 4th December 2018, approved the proposal to implement the Pension Scheme to Six Autonomous District Councils for Churachandpur, Chandel, Senapati, Sadar Hills, Tamenglong and Ukhrul Autonomous Districts Councils, he added.
Autonomous District Ukhrul Employees Pension Implementation (UADCEWA) also expressed gratitude to the incumbent State Government for implementing a service pension scheme for the Autonomous District Council Employees of six hill districts of Manipur.
The unveiling ceremony was marked with myriad entertainment programmes followed by a grand feast organised at Town Hall Phungreitang, Ukhrul.
