Body of woman deposited at RIMS

Imphal, November 16 2023:
Lamsang police station informed that body of a woman has been kept at RIMS mortuary.
According to Lamsang police station, upon receiving information of body of a woman, aged about 40 years and suspected to be of Kuki with injury marks on head lying in between Atongkhu-man and Tairenpokpi near railway construction sites on November 7, the police went and retrieved the corpse.
A suo motu case has also been registered for investigation, it informed, while adding that inquest over the body by expert of mobile forensic unit, Imphal West along with Executive Magistrate was conducted.
Post mortem examination was also done by the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, RIMS, Lamphelpat along with Executive Magistrate including video coverage.
After Post mortem the unidentified body is being kept at RIMS mortuary.
The deceased is around 4'11" tall, dusky complexion, slim body, black grey long strand hair and oval face.
She wore black and white full sleeve jacket (Zipper) and navy blue and white round neck half sleeve T-shirt and woollen sweat pants full length and floral pattern multi-colour skirt, it informed.
