AR welcomes NIT returnees from Delhi

Tamenglong, December 13 2023:
Tamenglong Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) welcomed the contingent of National Integration Tour (NIT) from New Delhi at Indigenous Women and Children Foundation, a shelter home for orphans in Tamenglong district.
The tour was organised for students of Indigenous Women and Children Foundation.
22 Sector Assam Rifles commander flagged in the tour and interacted with the children.
The event was also attended by caretakers of the foundation, teachers, guardians and leaders of civil society organisations, dignitaries of civil administration.
The tour was organised to facilitate the children from Tamenglong experience the cultural diversity and scientific advancement of India by visiting the national capital.
Altogether 23.students accompanied by two teachers and six Assam Rifles personnel including one officer participated in the tour and visited heritage monuments and locations in Delhi like Raj Ghat, Red Fort, India Gate National War Memorial, Akshardham Temple, Nehru Planetarium and Lotus Temple.
