Senapati, December 13 2023:
The Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM) resolutely reiterated its commitment to non-cooperation with the Indian Paramilitary and armed forces in any form extending solidarity with all the victims of the repressive Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) 1958 .
In a press note, the information and publicity of the Poumai Naga Students Union (PNTM) condemned the brutality and atrocities inflicted by the Indian Paramilitary forces, operating under the shadow of this draconian law in the Naga homeland.
The PNTM demanded the immediate withdrawal of AFSPA from the Naga homeland in accordance of the resolution adopted in the NSF federal assembly and re-affirming its continued stand for non-cooperation with the Indian Paramilitary and Armed Forces and appealed to all to honour the non-cooperation both in letter and spirit.
Condemning the appeasement policy of the Indian Paramilitary and Armed Forces designed to mask wicked acts of atrocities with token development plans and programs, PNTM insisted on its immediate cessation, asserting that it shall not yield any meaningful differences.
Further it appealed to all individuals, groups, or villages entangled in this game plan to cease collaboration for the greater interest of the younger generation.
Questioning the integrity of those who succumbed to such appeasement policies, PNTM urged them to reflect on the blood of fallen brethren at the cruel hands of enemies.
It emphasized the need to distinguish between real enemies and friends, urging people not to forget the truths amid atrocities and cited incidents such as the Oting incident in Nagaland and the 9th July, 1987 Operation Bluebird (Oinam Incident) serving as stark reminders.
Acknowledging and congratulating those who steadfastly stood firm against collaboration with the Indian Paramilitary or Armed Forces, despite tempting offers, PNTM expressed that such individuals have the admiration and pride of the younger generation, acknowledging their sacrifices as a beacon of resilience against oppression and injustice.
