Thai delegates offer prayers to Lainingthou Sanamahi

Imphal, October 17 2023: Delegates of Surindra Rajabhat University and Phranakhon Rajabhat University from Thailand visited and offered players at the sacred site of Lainingthou Sanamahi at Haying Khongban Upnong Yumpham today.

It may be noted that the delegates are currently here for the 7-day University Exchange Program organised by Manipur University of Culture (MUC) .

The delegates from the two Thailand universities consist of four teachers and five students.

They were accorded a warm welcome by the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) when they visited the religious site.

The delegates were enthralled with religious songs and presented with books published by the LSTB on Sanamahism and the Salai Taret flag among others.

Later, the delegates along with LSTB members and MUC Vice Chancellor shared a meal together.

Senjam Bidyapati, vice president, LSTB expressed joy that the Thai delegates had visited to learn more about the 'Manipuri Pung' and had offered prayers at Lainingthou Sanamahi sacred site.
