Jiribam, November 04 2026: The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) Jiribam Branch Women Wing has announced a ban on musical events, gambling activities and fairs apart from the traditional and cultural significant activities in the district in view of the prevailing unrest in the State.

Addressing media persons during a press meet held yesterday at DESAM office located at Babupara in Jiribam, COCOMI Jiribam Branch Women Wing convenor N Nibharani announced the decision to ban the aforementioned activities.

She called upon the local clubs and Police Department to extend support in reinforcing the ban.

Stating that COCOMI will conduct drives, Nibharani further cautioned that the individuals will be held responsible for their actions if they are found to be carrying out such activities.
