Senapati, November 03 2026: The Naga People's Organisation (NPO), Senapati, has strongly condemned the arson and destruction of civilian properties at Tumuyon Khullen by armed Kuki militants on November 1 .

Such acts of violence against innocent civilians are unacceptable, inhuman, and a serious violation of the law and fundamental human rights, NPO said in a statement.

Appealing to the authorities concerned to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation and identify those responsible for the attack, the NPO said that the Government should adequately compensate for the loss and damage caused to the Tumuyon Khullen villagers.

No individual or organisation should be allowed to take the law into their own hands or terrorise innocent civilians, NPO said, urging the Government to take immediate and effective measures to protect the lives and properties of the villagers and prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.
