Junior and Senior Archery C'ships: NSA stay on top with 3 gold medals

National Sports Academy, Imphal continued to remain on top in the ongoing 35th Junior and 33rd Senior State Archery Championships organised by Manipur Archery Association at NSA Ground, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Having sealed a gold medal in the individual Indian round for women's, K Sandya along with Suprina Thokchom, S Melody and Priyanka earned the team gold with 6 points as KMAC-Langmeidong team of Laiphrakpam Rojina, Moirangthem Baby, Waikhom Dhanamanjuri and Elangbam Lucky secured silver with 2 points.
AAC-Bamon Leikai's team comprising N Linthoisana, H Roshina, M Anjali and Kh Subhasini bagged the bronze medal.
KMAC men's team comprising Moirangthem Bikash, Yumnam Jackson, Wahengbam Suraj and Moirangthem Tomba, however, sealed the Indian round gold medal beating NSA team of RK Wangthoisana, Y Indrapal, W Nganba and S Dollar by 6-4 points in the final.
LMLCC, Langmeidong Mamang Leikai team of Y Bishan, S Jenibash, L Bobby, Yumnam Bimolchandra finished third to bag the bronze medal.
In the women's individual Olympic round compound archery competition, Senyai Thongam of BAA-Top sealed the top honour scoring 143 points as from Ratna of PC-Top Khongnangkhong and N Roshini scored 138 and 134 points to win the silver and bronze medal respectively.
In the men's competition, RK Priyobarta of UAC-Patsoi shot 143 points to win the gold medal as his compatriot M Robinson finished second with 141 points to win silver and Heikham Biju of BAA win bronze with 138 points.
In the women's team compound event, BAA team consisting of Senyai Thongam, Mutum Prity, Bidya Wahengbam and S Stelina amassed 1918 points to win the gold.
Ngasepam Rosy, from Ratna, Yaikhombi Thongam and Ch Sonia of PC won the silver medal with 1781 points in the competition as AAA team of Thounaojam Gracia, Lanchenbi Urungpurel and Tamphasana Chingakham posted 1583 points to bag the bronze medal.
In the men's team compound competition, UAC's RK Priyobrata, M Robinson, Ng Lamnganba, S Winson gathered 2035 point to win the gold as AAA's Punanda Sharma, N Malemnganba, N Deepak and Vivekanda Konsam finished second with 1985 points and BAA's Heikham Biju, Y Lanthoiba, Chanam Malemnganba and Oinam Henary collected 1917 points to win the bronze.
