Many hail Gaiphulshillu on her appointment as HC judge

Naga Women's Union (NWU) and other civil organisations congratulated Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui on her appointment as a Judge of the Manipur High Court.
In a congratulatory note, NWU Information and Publicity Cell said: "It is truly a proud moment for all and particularly Naga women in the state to witness one of us being called the first tribal women judge of Manipur High Court" .
Ragailong Peikai, Ragailong Women Society and Ragailong Youth Club also conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Gaiphulshillu on her appointment aS a High Court of Manipur judge.
In a release, Ragailong Peikai expressed hope that her (Gaiphulshillu) illustrious example will inspire the upcoming generations and appealed her to take up prompt judicial action for the expedient justice delivery concerning downtrodden, women and the weaker section of the society.
Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) also congratulated Judge Golmei Gaiphulshillu of Namthan-long, Thangmeiband on her appointment as judge of the High Court of Manipur.
In a release, ZU (AMN) said it is a historic moment that Gaiphulshillu has become the first woman to be elevated as judge of the High Court of Manipur.
"It is with great enchantment that on behalf of the Zeliangrong people we extend our warmest congratulations to you on this remarkable achievement" .
"We hope that you will continue to excel in your role as a judge.
Your esteemed position will provide you with numerous opportunities to impart justice and positively impact the lives of many.
Let the divine wisdom always lead you in every of your case you preside over," it said.
The release further informed that ZU, Zeliangrong Football Association and Kabui Mothers' Association will organise a felicitation programme for Gaiphulshillu on October 22 at Zeliangrong Union Head Office, Kakhulong.
Gaiphulshillu joined Manipur Judicial Service in 1995, and was also the Manipur High Court's first women registrar and then registrar general.
