Tengnoupal, November 04 2026: The Maring Students' Union (MSU) strongly condemned the reported assault on TP Kiukamlung, Officer-in-charge of Machi Police Station and the alleged intimidation and physical assault of his escort personnel by a group of individuals at Motbung on October 30, 2026 .

The union expressed their deep concern over such acts of violence against a serving police officer and his personnel.

The students' union also expressed concern over the continuing reports of violence, threats, abductions and attacks affecting innocent civilians in different parts of Manipur.

Such incidents only deepen mistrust, create insecurity and hamper the efforts towards restoring peace and normalcy in the State, the union asserted.
