MHGEWA reminds CM on pending demands

Manipur Home Guards Employees' Welfare Association (MHGEWA) has urged chief minister N Biren Singh to instruct Home Guards (VA) CO Ch Adani for expediting and finalising the long pending issues of home guards.
In a memorandum submitted Thursday, MHGEWA president Yanglem Mangi Singh expressed gratitude to CM for agreeing to extend the service of CO Ch Adani for one month effective as approved by the state cabinet in its meeting held on February 24."Members of MHGEWA are also looking forward to fulfil their demands with the service extension of Ch Adani in the days to come".
"There are many long pending issues related to streamlining the Home Guard organisation including non-framing of guidelines/rules for promotion of all ranks, abolition of unpaid rank structure, non-finalisation of seniority list, non-filling up of vacant posts of battalion commander on full time basis, non-completion of land development within the campus of HQ Lamphelpat, non-preparationof MGEL, apart from timely extension of admissible DA up to 32 per cent, ration money allowances, pension benefits, etc.," it said.
