Distribution of relief materials continues

Many continue to dis tribute relief materials including edibles, clothes and medicines to relief camps set up in differ-ent areas for sheltering people displaced by the ethnic conflict.
Several organisations and philanthropists including Sa-golband Bijoygovinda Thangapat Mapal Development Associa-tion, ICDS Lamsang, Hanjabam Manoranjan of Soibam Leikai, Khongman Apunba Peace and Relief Committee Khongman Zone III, Namoijam Chandrakala Devi of Sagoltongba, Haorok-cham Romen of Awangkhunou, Awangkhunou Lamkhai Meira Paibi, Sana Janmasthan Club along with local Meira Paibis of Aheibam Leirak, Moirang Ningthou Leirak and Laishom Leirak and Youth Development Club Malom Tulihal Makha Leikai distributed relief items to relief centres set up at Phayeng, Kadangband, Singda-Kangchup, Chandonpokpi, Pombikhok, Wathalambi, Khewa Khurju Awang Leikai, Pukhao and Relief Committee Sagoltongba.
Sagolband Apunba also ex-tended monetary assistance to the families of late Laithangbam Norel Meitei, who lost his life in a clash, while Langthabal Kendra Tengbam Lup provided edibles to displaced people taking shel-ter at their relatives' place in Langthabal Kunja Awang, Mayai and Makha Leikai.
Meanwhile, a release issued by AMUCO informed that CRPF Sports Meitei Group extended a sum of Rs 1,38,000 to the organ-isation for helping riot-affected people.
The donation to AMUCO was made under the supervision of Olympian and Arjuna awardees Th Sanamacha, Kh Tombi and Angom Anita Chanu.
Manipuri Meitei Association Bangalore (MMAB), Karnata-ka and Lukram Leirak Youth Club (LLYC) on Sunday jointly provided relief materials and organised a medical camp at nine relief camps opened in Kakching district.
