Political delegate reaches Delhi

Imphal, June 12 2023:
Delegates of 10 like-minded political parties who are seeking an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra in order to bring a solution to the violent crisis besieging the State have started reaching Delhi.
CPI(M) State Secretary Kshetrimayum Santa landed at Delhi this evening.
All the representatives of INC, CPI, CPI(M), JD(U), All India Forward Bloc, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Shiv Sena (Udhav Thackeray), All India Trinamool Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and Aam Aadmi are expected to reach Delhi by June 14 .
After reaching Delhi, they would hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the prevailing situation and how to restore peace and normalcy in the State.
Congress MLA Thokchom Lokeshore and CPI(M) Secretary were planning to go to Delhi together this afternoon.
But Lokeshore cancelled his flight after many casualties were reported in a gun battle between Meitei volunteers and Kuki militants at Khamenlok which is located at the border of Khundrakpam AC and Saikul AC today.
Nonetheless, around 30 representatives of the 10 political parties are expected to leave Imphal for Delhi either tomorrow or the day after, said one Congress MLA.
