51 members named in peace committee

As many as 51 people have been named as members of the Peace Committee constituted by the Central Government to help establish peace, social and communal harmony among various ethnic groups and promote a sense of security among the general public.
The Peace Committee is headed by Governor Unusuiya Uikey as Chairperson.

The Committee should strengthen social cohesiveness, mutual understanding and facilitate cordial communication between various ethnic groups, according to an order issued by Deputy Secretary to Government of India, Narendra Gautam
on June 10 .
