The call for peace and normalcy in the State grows louder with each passing day amid the grim situation caused by the large-scale acts of communal violence which erupted on May 3 last.
A sit-in was staged at Temporary Market, Pallel jointly organised by United Committee Pallel and Pallel Women Development Association urging all communities to refrain from any acts of violence which may disrupt the peaceful co-existence.
Later, a human chain was formed and many slogans were raised by the protestors.
Womenfolk of Chairel asserted that they will fight against all forces which pose any form of compromise on State's territorial integrity during a protest demonstration held today at Chairel Lamlong Keithel in Sugnu Assembly Constituency organised by Chairel Apunba Meira Paibi.

Raising grave concern on the inability to solve the month-long communal conflict in the State, protest demonstration was staged at Wangjing Lamding Bazar by blocking half of the Imphal-Moreh road by women vendors of Wangjing Lamding Bazar and Wangjing New Market along with Meira Paibis of the area.
The protestors also strongly denounced the unlawful and heinous activities of the Kuki militants who have been attacking innocent civilians.
Womenfolk of Heirok Keithel formed a human chain and raised slogans urging for the protection of the State's territorial integrity.
Voicing the same demands, Rural Youth Development Organisation (RYDO) Charangpat Maning Leikai in association with Meira Paibi organised a sit-in protest at Charangpat Maning Leikai today.
The protestors raised slogans such as 'We Want Peace', 'No Separate Administration', 'Safeguard Territorial Integrity of Manipur', 'Abrogate SoO pact with Kuki militants', 'Implement NRC' etc were raised during the protests carried out today.
