VBSY aims to bring saturation of welfare schemes: MLA Deben

Explaining the objectives behind organising the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), Wabagai MLA Usham Deben said that the initiative is not an election campaign but an attempt of the government to bring saturation of welfare schemes.
The MLA was attending a Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign held at Keirak Usham Leikai community hall, Kakching district on Wednesday.
Kakching district administration organised the campaign in different parts of the district from Tuesday.
The events will continue till Thursday.
On Tuesday, the campaign was held at Kakching Keithel while the district administration will hold the campaign at Langmeidong on Thursday.
The second day's event was attended by Manipur State Pollution Control Board chairman and Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Manipur state in-charge and BJP Manipur Pradesh vice-president former minister Oinam Lukhoi, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice-president L Minabanta, BJP Kakching district president Usham Ibomcha, working president Kh Indubala, BJP Wabagai Mandal president Maibam Nabachandra, and BJP Keishamthong Mandal president N Biren as dais members.
District level officers and officials of different departments in Kakching district also attended the event.
Additional district magistrate Kakching Moirangthem Kapajit spoke on the objectives and benefits of different welfare schemes implemented by the government, stating that different departments are providing service through 14 stalls during the event.
Cards for different schemes as well as benefits were distributed to beneficiaries.
A wall calendar related with the campaign was also released on the occasion.
MLA Dr Usham Deben said that the campaign was organised to inform the public about the different welfare schemes implemented by the government with an objective to bring saturation.
Highlighting the importance of awareness among the people to attain saturation, he said that the campaign is not an election campaign but to ensure the benefits of the schemes reach the public.
