NIT students engage with dignitaries

Imphal, December 27 2023:
A team of 25 students from the state, representing Kamjong, Imphal, and Tengnoupal district, had the unique opportunity to interact with Lt Gen RP Kalita, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, and the Governors of West Bengal & Goa during a National Integration Tour (NIT) organised under Operation Sadbhavana.
Informing this in a statement, PRO IGAR (S) said that during the interactive session, Lt Gen RP Kalita shared valuable insights and experiences with the students through passionate encouragement for the students to consider contributing to the Indian Armed Forces as a means of serving the nation.
He also provided invaluable guidance for both personal and professional aspirations.
Lt Gen RP Kalita's impactful words left a lasting impression, inspiring the students to dream ambitiously and strive for greater heights, emphasising the key role of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success.
The Governors of West Bengal & Goa, CV Ananda Bose and PS Sreedharan Pillai respectively, also participated in the interactive session, extending beyond governance to share life lessons and insights into pursuing personal and professional aspirations.
Their encouraging words fostered a senseof inspiration and motivation to dream big.
Both Governors stressed the significance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance as essential ingredients for success.
The event was part of the ongoing National Integration Tour under Operation Sadbhavana, designed to provide local students with opportunities to meet eminent dignitaries, visit places & institutions of national & historical importance, thereby broadening their perspectives and widening their horizons.
