Imphal, November 07 2023:
Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh has reportedly assured that all efforts would be made to locate the whereabouts of the two missing teenage at the soonest.
According to political activist Maheshwar Thounaojam, who met the DGP in connection with missing case of two youths from Akham under Lamshang assembly constituency, inability of the state government to recover the bodies of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit, failure of the government to arrest the Kuki militants involved in the brutal murder of Ngalleiba and Chingkheinganba despite knowing the culprits and the attacked carried out by armed miscreants at different locations, underscore failure of the administration.
After his meeting with the DGP, Maheshwar informed media persons that two persons have been detained for investigation in connection with missing of the teenagers.
Claiming that he urged the DGP to take swift action against all indulging in acts of terrorism and kidnapping of school students which have made Manipur look like a lawless state, he also categorically pointed out to the police chief that controlling the mothers of Manipur and meira paibis will not help maintain peace unless 'terrorists' are uprooted from the soil of Manipur.
