State Mission Director advises SHGs to get registered under MSRLM

The valedictory ceremony of the 30 days skill cum vocational training programme for rejuvenating livelihoods of inmates in relief camps under Imphal West District of Manipur was successfully held at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, Imphal today.
Notably the training programme was jointly organised by the ICAR Manipur Centre in association with Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) and District Administration Imphal West.
Certificates were distributed to conflict survivors from relief camps who participated in the training programme and material inputs were also distributed.
Speaking as the chief guest, N Bandana Devi , State Mission Director, MSRLM, shared that the ongoing conflict has affected 3500 Self-Help Group members.
However, the Ministry cannot provide assistance to the SHGs which are not affiliated with MSRLM.
Thus, she urged the women SHGs to get registered with MSRLM.
Adding that survivors at relief camps appear to have lost their livelihood skills, she urged them to participate in the short term courses on skill development launched by the Government.
This will improve their current condition and also present them with opportunities in the future, she added.
