Senapati DC launches Poshan Pakhwada 2024

Senapati DC Mamoni Doley launched the Poshan Pakhwada 2024 on Saturday at DC Office Complex, Senapati in a programme jointly organised by Integrated Child Development Service, Senapati and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Senapati.
Speaking at the occasion, Mamoni Doley said that An-ganwadi workers should take utmost care while sensitizing and in delivering nutritional food to community in their respective areas.
She also said that inspection will be carried out across the Anganwadi centres in the district to check out the activities.
It may be mentioned here that Poshan Pakhwada 2024 will commence from March 9 to 23.The focus of mass sensitization and community activities would be around the following main themes namely Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi (PBPB) - towards better Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE); Tribal, Traditional, Regional & Local dietary practices focused on sensitization around nutrition; Health of pregnant women & Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices.
It will also include additional sensitization activities around other important areas namely Improving nutrition through Mission LiFE (with activities around Water Conservation through Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) at AWCs), Adopting Sustainable Food Systems by promoting Millet & Poshan Vatikas, and Adopting Healthy Lifestyles through Ayush practices; Focused activities around Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) and Diarrhea management; Test, Treat, Talk Anemia; Swasth Balak Spardha(SBS) to promote regular growth measurement of enrolled children at AWCs and a variety of other general sensitization activities that states/UTs and partner ministries/departments have been conducting since the inception of Poshan Abhiyaan.
Later, Poshan walk is carried out from Senapati DC office complex till 'I Love Senapati' point with shout of slogans such as 'Health is Wealth, ' 'Eat Healthy Food, Stay Healthy' etc.
along with the display of slogans on the placards which read 'Eat Right to Live Right,' 'Eat Good Feel Good,' 'No Junk Food,' 'Get the habit of healthy eating,' etc.
The programme was participated by DLOs, ICDS office staff, student volunteers and Anganwadi workers.
