Imphal, October 08 2023: Apunba Khorirolgee Malemgee Lup on Saturday observed the 2nd International Writers' Meet 2023 at the Auditorium Hall in JN Manipur Dance Academy.

It was attended by JN Manipur Dance Academy, Director, P Bilash; retired Professor Dr Hamom Nabachandra and Yairipok Thambalnu Sahitya Marup cum Library president Ibotombi Khumancha as presidium members.

Retired Chief Engineer of PWD, Government of Manipur, Nongmaithem Noren and Manuscript Custodian, Yumnam Chaoba also took part in the programme as resource persons.

As part of the celebration, a special interactive programme with RK Sana Yaima on the occasion of his 77th birthday was also conducted.

Speaking on the occasion, RK Sana Yaima asserted that it is the first time the NIA had declared that the terror groups based in Myanmar are trying to wage war against India by stoking tension and conflict in Manipur.

He also stressed on the need for the State Government to pressure the Government of India to take up steps as per the report of the NIA.

Later, a poem recitation session was organised with Writers' Union Imphal former president Aarjun Kabir as the moderator.

The participants also observed two minutes of silence to pay respect to those who had lost their lives during the ongoing conflict in Manipur.
