Many extend humanitarian aid

Many continue to extend humanitarian aid to the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State.
Maharaj Kumar Hojai-ngamba Singh, director & secretary of Kala Samooh, Gwalior, today provided a monetary aid of Rs 25,000 to the relief camp set up at Ideal Girls College, Akampat.
Birlal Wahengbam, former Pradhan of Uchekon Nongchup and Keisham Sanjoy handed over the amount to the members of the Thongju Kendra Relief Committee.
Notably, internally displaced people (IDP) from Churachandpur and Moreh are currently taking shelter at the relief camp opened in the College campus by the Thongju Kendra Relief Committee under the supervision of Thongju AC MLA Thongam Biswajit.
Moreover, the Sheijapokpi Women's Voluntary Association, Luwangsangbam, has also extended monetary aid to Thounaojam Tomba who was injured in the present conflict.
Tomba reportedly sustained a bullet injury during an incident at Khonghampat Mantri Leikai, Imphal West District on May 4 last and has been bed-ridden ever since.
