SHRI observes 3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week

(SHRI) observed the 3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week at Shija Auditorium, Langol on Saturday.
The theme for this year's National Pharmacovigilance Week, "Boosting Public Confidence in Pharmacovigilance" is aimed at fostering a culture of patient-centricity and safety across the nation, said SHRI in a release.
The event was attended by various healthcare experts including nurses, doctors, technicians, and pharmacists from SHRI.
The event began with a welcome address delivered by L Chinglemba, Assistant Manager of Pharmacy at SHRI, emphasizing the importance of pharmacovigilance in modern healthcare to avoid medication errors.
Dr Neeraj Sharma, Assistant Professor at Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), highlighted the crucial role of pharmacovigilance in patient safety and monitoring of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) .
Dr Kh Deepak Singh from JNIMS shared insights into the current pharmacovigilance landscape and walked the audience through the process of adverse drug reactions reporting.
The interactive session allowed participants to discuss and learn more about pharmacovigilance.
Dr Joychandra Singh, a Guest Faculty member at SAHS, emphasized the ongoing relevance of pharmacovigilance education and awareness amongst caregivers of ADR and adverse drug reaction events reporting.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by H Surjikumari Devi, AGM, Quality & Deputy Coordinator of Pharmacovigilance Center at SHRI.
